Foods That Lower High Cholesterol

Foods That Lower High Cholesterol

Sirinan · March 5, 2016 · 2 Comments

High cholesterol can be dangerous because it leads to chronic heart diseases and high blood pressure. A high cholesterol level (more than 200 mg/dL) leads to major heart issues due to buildup of cholesterol in your arteries. In other words, your arteries cannot function properly and will face difficulties in carrying blood from your heart through your body. You should have your cholesterol lesser than 200 mg/dL to maintain a good and healthy heart. You should try to avoid too much seafood, deep-fried foods, and egg yolks because these foods are high in bad cholesterol. If you have high cholesterol level, not to worry, it can be controlled through a healthy lifestyle and regular exercise.

It helps to strengthen your bones and teeth due to high in calcium, support your immune system, lower risk of heart diseases, and reduce your blood pressure. Let’s start your day with all these goodness from oatmeal. It is very simple to prepare, delicious and healthy. You should add banana to your oatmeal. It is really good for your heart due to its high potassium that helps to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.

Fruits and vegetables are high in soluble fiber, which help to reduce the absorption of bad cholesterol to your blood stream. They are also an excellent source of vitamin C and trace minerals.
