Who Says You Have to Ditch Carbs to Stay Slim?

Carbohydrates are very important to our body. They are a good source of energy. Hence, it must be included in our meals. Try to change your favorite refined carbs to good/complex carbs. I can guarantee you will see the results in no time. There are a few good carbs that you should add them into your diet.

Oatmeal is a good source of fiber, protein, and many others essential minerals that are required by our body. It helps to cleanse and detox your body. Not only that, it helps to curb your appetite and makes you feel full for quite sometime. You can try to add a little bit of cinnamon or honey to enhance the taste.

Sweet potatoes are highly packed with beta-Carotene, dietary fiber, vitamin A and C, potassium, other minerals, which are good for our eyes, skin, and also help to prevent heart diseases. You can bake it or make it as a yummy wedges with a little bit of pepper. It can be served as your snack or a side dish.

Fruits such as oranges, watermelon, mango, and apples contain fructose, which can be easily broken down by our body, and can be used as a source of energy. Banana is one of good examples because it is packed with potassium, essential minerals, and fibers. It is good for our heart and a good source of energy to start your day with. Watermelon is also a tasty snack during the day. It has very high water content, keeps you hydrated and feel fresh after eating them. It is your best friend throughout your weight loss journey. It can be served together with greek yoghurt or mixed fruits salad.

Whole grains bread is not only taste good but it is full of good nutrients, high in dietary fiber, and minerals. Toast it up and spread some peanut butter on top or served it with omelet. It is an excellent breakfast to begin your morning with.

Corn is a good source of nutrient, which is vital to our body. It contains a high amount of potassium that is good for our heart. In addition, it is also packed with good source of iron, magnesium, vitamin B-6, and dietary fiber.

Brown rice is more nutritious than white rice. It is whole grain rice with a good source of calcium, iron, vitamin B-6, magnesium, phosphorous, selenium, niacin thiamine and many other vitamins and minerals. It is also an excellent source of dietary fiber. Brown rice does not only taste good but full of the goodness from nature with no bleaching and polishing process.

Japanese soba is made from buckwheat flour. It is an excellent source of good carb, protein, magnesium, and most importantly a cholesterol-free food. It tastes so delicious and helps to satisfy your hunger for sometime before your next meal. You can mix with steamed vegetables and chicken or have it as noodle. Healthy life style does not mean you have to stop eating delicious food. Eating right will give you the right energy and put proper nutrients to your body. Choose to change and your body will thank you for that.
