You should start your day with a healthy breakfast that can provide a good amount of nutrients and boost your energy. Healthy breakfast should include eggs, whole grain biscuit or bread, nuts, and a cup of fruit salad. Healthy breakfast does not always mean that it has to make you feel very full and stuffed. It simply means that the foods that you eat should provide essential nutrients that your body needs.

 [divider title=”2. Eat more soluble fiber-rich foods” style=”style6″ align=”left”/]

Soluble fiber-rich foods such as beans, peas, broccoli, dark leafy green vegetables, and oatmeal. They are very important in maintaining a good health, and hence should be added to your daily diet. They are known to help to lower cholesterol, prevent cardiovascular disease, prevent colon cancer, keep bowel movements healthy, and good for digestion. Eating an adequate amount of foods that are rich in soluble fiber does not only promote good health and prevent chronic diseases, but also helps you to maintain a healthy weight. And perhaps, it can help you to lose weight. So, you should add more greens in your diet.

[divider title=”3. Eat more good fats” style=”style6″ align=”left”/]

Don’t be afraid of fats. They are not your enemy. It is a myth that fats make you gain weight. In fact, eating an adequate amount of healthy fats can help you lose weight and maintaining a healthy body. So, healthy fats are good for you. You should be worried about your sugar intake instead. Sugar is the culprit of most chronic diseases. So, what are healthy fats? Healthy fats are macronutrients that have unstable structure, which can be broken down easily by our body. For example avocado, salmon, nuts, and extra virgin olive oil. By changing your regular cooking oil to olive oil can improve your health in a long run without you knowing it. An easy tip can go a long way for helping you on the right track!

[divider title=”4. Switch white rice to brown rice” style=”style6″ align=”left”/]

Brown rice contains essential nutrients such as complex carbohydrates, protein, vitamin B-6, iron, magnesium, and dietary fiber. It offers so many health benefits such as lower your risk of heart disease, improve digestion, a better option for diabetics, and good for weight loss. Brown rice is healthier than white rice because white rice has undergone processes such as refining, bleaching, and polishing that stripped all of its nutrients and fiber. This leaves less nutrients and sometimes no more essential nutrients left. Hence, brown rice is a better option for you.

 [divider title=”5. Eat less desserts” style=”style6″ align=”left”/]

Desserts contain so much refined sugar, fructose syrup, and glucose syrup. Sugar causes inflammation in our body, which leads to chronic diseases such as type II diabetes, heart disease, cancer, tooth decay, and obesity. However, this does not mean that you can’t have it anymore. It just means that you should eat it in moderation. Having a piece of cake in a party is totally okay. You should not deprive yourself from your favourite treats, just set your limit. No one can live without sweetness.

[divider title=”6. Reduce your alcohol consumption” style=”style6″ align=”left”/]

Drinking a small glass of red wine every now and then is not a problem. In fact, resveratrol in red wine is good for your health, especially your heart. However, hard liquor and alcohol in general can cause dehydration, hypertension, cancer, cirrhosis, pre-mature ageing, and more. Not only that, alcohol contains empty calories, which means it contains high calories, but has no essential nutrients in it. This leads to weight gain and beer belly overtime.

Hope this easy tips will help you to stay fit and firm for years to come. The world is more beautiful when you are healthy.

Have a great day everyone!
