Who Loves To Snack Like I Do?

Snacking is good to help you curb your appetite during the day, so that you will not feel so hungry and eat less during your meals. But under one condition, you should snack only on these yummy healthy snacks. Give it a try!

Nuts such as almonds, walnuts and cashew nuts are good source of fiber, protein, potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin B-6, and many other essential minerals. They are packed with good fats that are good for your brain and heart functions that can easily be broken down by our body. Not only that, it is also an aid for weight loss because it helps to curb your appetite and satisfies your hunger. In gives you the feeling of being full. However, you should eat them in moderation because they contain high amounts of calories.

Greek yogurt is a good source of calcium and minerals. High calcium diets help to strengthen your teeth and bones. It also helps to fight against osteoporosis and other bone-related diseases. Most Importantly, it has probiotic also known as good bacteria to keep your bowel going and improve your digestive system. You should add some high antioxidant fruits like blueberry, strawberry and raspberry on top. Yummy!

Hard-boiled eggs are nutritious snacks that are full of great protein, vitamin D, vitamin B-6, vitamin B-12, and many other minerals. However, you should try to ditch that creamy egg yolk because it is high in fats and cholesterol, if you have a cholesterol problem or your cholesterol level is high or more than 200 mg/dL. High cholesterol leads to high blood pressure and heart diseases, so be mindful.

Fruits such as apples, oranges, guava, and papaya are full of vitamins and minerals, and good source of fiber, which helps to prevent constipation, improve your digestive system, good for your skin and hair because as they are high in vitamin C and have high water content. It also helps to prevent aging due to its high in antioxidant that fights against free radicals in our body. Our body will not store or produce vitamins, therefore it has to be consumed daily. This is why we should eat vitamin C packed fruits everyday.

Dried fruits such as raisin, dates, and dried cranberry are a good source of iron, potassium, magnesium, vitamin C, vitamin B-6 and minerals as well as dietary fiber. I usually have dried raisin or dates as my dessert when I crave for something sweet. You should try them and you will love it like I do and they are my guilt-free snacks.

Popcorn that is not sweetened or added with butter makes a good munchy snack for your movie time. It also keeps you full and feels satisfy before your meals. It is fun to make as well.

Smoothies are not just a delicious drink but often contains a good source of vitamins and minerals from raw fruits and vegetables such as vitamin C, A, B-6, and B-12. It helps to improve your digestion, immune system and detox your body and weight loss. Smoothies keep you satiated due to high its high water content. You can try to mix your favorite fruits and vegetables and add a little bit of yogurt for your own preference.
